Inside our 2022 Summer ICT Skill Acquisition Programme

For two weeks in August 2022, a full hall of young people learned practical digital skills at our secretariat in Ota. Here is a look back in pictures.

Learners and facilitators of the 2022 Summer ICT programme gathered on closing day

From 8 to 19 August 2022, the Paaneah Foundation secretariat in Olosun, Ota became a busy classroom. Young people from the community joined our free Summer ICT Skill Acquisition Programme to learn practical digital skills.

Learning by doing

Sessions combined teaching on a projector with plenty of hands-on practice. Facilitators walked learners through tools such as spreadsheets, then let them try things for themselves on laptops.

Celebrating excellence

The programme closed with Awards of Excellence for learners who showed excellent and outstanding performance. The certificates were signed by the programme facilitator, Olajide T. Ogunniran, and by our President, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi.

Why it matters

Like all our skills programmes, the ICT programme was free. We want every young person, especially those who could not otherwise afford training, to leave with a skill and the motivation to keep learning on their own.

Want your child or ward to take part next time? Register your interest.

Together, we can build a better future for our young people.

Your support helps young people in Ota and beyond learn practical skills, stay healthy and grow into confident adults.
